Traditional mountain crafts and the work of many local artisans are showcased in specialty shops, art galleries and gift shops in downtown Prestonsburg. Periodically, local craftsmen and artists can be found at various shops and galleries demonstrating their work. Traditional mountain hand crafts include--beautiful quilts, pillow covers, baskets, pottery, wood whittlings, sewn items, dolls, wooden toys, painted gourds and Christmas ornaments. 
Many shops in Prestonsburg serve as an outlet for our local artisans. Shoppers will find art galleries and privately owned quaint specialty shops and restaurants featuring cappuccino and homemade fudge.
